LMA PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK IN ASSOCIATION WITH SKY SPORTS SOCCER SATURDAY - BLADES WIN AWAY AT OLD TRAFFORD

The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett, Barry Fry Paul Ince and Rachel Yankey, has determined that the LMA Performance of the Week Award, in association with Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, should go to Sheffield United for their 2-1 victory against Manchester United on Wednesday 27th January 2021. 

The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,500 competitive matches in professional football.

Sheffield United Manager Chris Wilder will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LMA Performance of the Week trophy.

A performance, an evening and a result to remember for the Blades at Old Trafford!

Against all the odds, Chris Wilder's side produce the display of the season to deservedly beat the Red Devils in their own back yard, with Kean Bryan and Oli Burke both scoring their first league goals for the club.

For the trip across the Pennines, boss Wilder made four changes. Baldock, Jagielka, Bryan and McGoldrick started, with Bogle and Brewster dropping to the bench, where Mousset returned. Egan missed out through suspension, whilst Stevens was absent through injury.
