Darren Ferguson has been appointed as first team manager of Doncaster Rovers.

Doncaster is Darren's fourth managerial appointment having previously managed Preston North End and Peterborough United, in two spells, where he achieved three promotions.

In a statement released via the the club's website, Darren said: “I had a good break and I think I needed it but the timing of this job is perfect,”

“I’m absolutely raring to go.

“Have I got the tools to work with? Absolutely. That is clear."
