Prostate Cancer UK

06 Mar 2015

LMA Members are coming out in force this summer to ride from London to Amsterdam Challenge for Prostate Cancer UK.

Simon Grayson – riding in memory of his best friend who lost his life to the disease - will be joined by Paul Peschisolido, Lawrie Sanchez, Terry Butcher and David Hodgson as well as representatives from clubs across The Football League.

The 145-mile cycle which starts on Friday 12th June, includes a half-time pit-stop at Colchester United before sailing from Harwich at the end of day one. The second day (Saturday 13 June) will take in the picturesque surroundings along the pristine pathways of the Netherlands before completing the cycle challenge by arriving at the Amsterdam ArenA, home of current Dutch champions and winners of 33 Dutch league titles, Ajax.

There’s still time to sign up, or encourage people you know to join. The deadline for signing up is approaching fast and applications will need to be submitted by 16th March.

Prostate cancer kills one man every hour in the UK, and in 2014 riders from more than 50 clubs helped raise more than £200,000. This year, we want to help Prostate Cancer UK to do even better so why not get involved with your friends and have a great time whilst helping a great cause.
