Owen Coyle was appointed manager of Blackburn Rovers on 2nd June 2016.
A prolific goalscorer during his playing career, Coyle was capped by the Republic of Ireland and played predominantly for Scottish teams, as well as Bolton Wanderers in England.
His managerial career began at Falkirk where he was co-player-manager with John Hughes and they won the Scottish First Division Championship in 2003.
Spells at St Johnstone, Burnley (where he won the Championship play-offs in 2008/09), Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic and Houston Dynamos followed.
