Gareth Ainsworth was confirmed as the manager of Wycombe Wanderers on November 8, 2012.
Prior to the appointment, he had been caretaker boss after the departure of Gary Waddock. In that time he recorded three wins, three draws and four losses.
That season he guided the Club to a 15th place finish before he secured their Football League status on the final day of the 2013/14 campaign with a dramatic victory at Torquay United.
In the 2014/15 season Wycombe narrowly missed out on promotion to League One, losing to Southend United on penalties after a 1-1 draw. This led Aisnworth to being named the LMA League Two Manager of the Year.
Ainsworth initially joined the club on an 18-month contract in February 2010 as player/coach, following a successful loan spell from Queens Park Rangers, where he had spent seven years at Championship and League 1 level. During that time he had also taken caretaker charge of the club.
As a player he represented Preston North End, Port Vale and Wimbledon, where he has made over 580 professional appearances.
