The LMA 1000 Club recognises any LMA member who has managed 1000 competitive first team matches at full-time professional clubs in the following sanctioned competitions:
- Premier League or equivalent overseas*
- EFL or equivalent overseas*
- Women’s Super League** or equivalent overseas*
- Domestic cup competitions (The FA Cup/Carabao Cup/EFL Trophy/Women’s FA Cup**/Women’s Continental Cup** etc.) or equivalent overseas cup competitions which are organised by the National Association or a governing body of the professional game in that country
- UEFA-sanctioned competitive matches (Champions League/Europa League/Women’s Champions League* etc.) or equivalent continental competitions
- FIFA-sanctioned International matches (including friendlies)
*Equivalent overseas leagues must be fully professional
**Only matches played after the professionalisation of the Women’s Super League in September 2018 to be counted
