The LMA Diploma in Football Management, delivered in partnership with the University of Liverpool and the PFA, provides vocationally relevant education, equipping managers and coaches with a university-accredited qualification and the skills to address the challenges and realities of football management.
The LMA Post Graduate Award in Strategic Leadership is a Masters level, academically accredited leadership development programme delivered in partnership with the University of Liverpool.
The LMA has launched three new 12-week, six module online programmes, covering leadership, performance and skill acquisition theory.

LMA & LCA Masterclasses aim to bring together managers and coaches from the professional game with wellbeing, personal development, leadership and sports performance experts to explore and discuss vocationally relevant new thinking and ideas. The masterclasses aim to reinforce the ongoing community of practice within the profession, as well as providing the platform for individuals’ further personal development, skill development and behaviour change.
LMA & LCA Online sessions aim to provide accessible, time-limited content and insights from wellbeing, personal development, leadership and sports performance experts. In addition, the online sessions provide a vehicle for senior LMA members and other proven sports and performance coaches to share their career experiences and journeys.
Through its unique position in professional sport and performance the LMA Institute runs a number of full day performance experiences during the season with the aim of providing managers and coaches with immersive access to other elite performance environments. The sessions allow football to learn from other performance domains, understanding leadership, culture development and elite performance processes.
The LMA Annual Leadership & Wellbeing conference was launched at the Emirates Stadium in 2009. The conference provides a full day of lectures, panel discussions and keynote speeches from thought-leaders, industry experts and sporting icons. In addition to the onstage content, the conference provides a backdrop for networking and hospitality, strengthening the LMA’s relationships with its partners and supporters.
The LMA Institute’s leadership and personal development guides are designed to provide simple and accessible overviews of key theories and principles from the across the LMA Personal Development Model. Available in both electronic and hard copy, the guides act as an important supporting resource for the Institute’s programmes.
the LMA Institute’s content platform provides a significant digital resource, home to 1000+ leadership, performance and wellbeing written articles and 150+ filmed insights interviews – all password accessed and fully searchable. Additionally, the platform is the home of the Institute’s growing online programme delivery hosting lectures, webinars and downloadable learning resources
