Brownhill, Odobert, O'Shea and Vitinho goals secure opening night victory on the road

Head Coach Scott Parker and his side got off to a dream start on Monday night as the Clarets secured an impressive 4-1 win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road in the opening fixture of the 2024/25 campaign.

Josh Brownhill opened the scoring for Burnley with just six minutes on the clock after latching onto Clarets debutant Lucas Pires' through ball, before doubling the lead half-an-hour later through Wilson Odobert's calm and collected finish.

Luton did pull a goal back just before the hour mark through Tahith Chong, but Burnley responded well as Dara O'Shea glanced home a header into the bottom corner to double the lead once again with 20 minutes to play.

There was time for a fourth of the night when Vitinho struck home the final goal of the game with an excellent finish past Thomas Kaminski.
