Utilita Performance of the Week: Barnsley

The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Chris Hughton, Rachel Yankey, Les Ferdinand, Clare Tomlinson, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry has determined that the Utilita Performance of the Week Award should go to Barnsley F.C. for their performance against Port Vale F.C. on Saturday the 5^th of August

Barnsley F.C. manager, Neill Collins, will receive the Utilita Performance of the Week trophy.

Barnsley made the perfect start to the new season with an emphatic 7-0 victory over Port Vale on Saturday afternoon.

Devante Cole set Oakwell alight with a blistering hat-trick, while Dan Jones’ own goal was added to by Liam Kitching, Jon Russell, and Andy Dallas in what was a tremendous performance in Neill Collins’ first game at the helm.
