Sam Allardyce has been appointed as manager of Everton FC.

The club announced Allardyce's appointment on Thursday 30th November with Everton’s major shareholder Farhad Moshiri describing new manager Sam Allardyce as a “great leader” who will “give his all” and bring the best out of the Blues squad.

Allardyce has joined the Toffees after signing a deal until the end of June 2019 and will take charge of the team for the first time in Saturday’s Premier League clash at home to Huddersfield.

Mr Moshiri believes Allardyce’s “strong track record” will prove vital, as he revealed he had been “a great fan” of the Club’s new manager for many years.

“More than anything he (Allardyce) will bring stability,” Mr Moshiri told evertontv.

“He is a strong leader with a great track record. He will be able to stabilise Everton’s position in the top half of the table and give us a platform to move on.

“He uses the players he has. He is very effective and a great leader. That is what we need.”

Mr Moshiri added: “I think they have a leader in this Club and at USM Finch Farm, which provides stability.

“He will give it his all and his focus 24 hours a day is this Club. I’ve followed him for many years and I’ve been a great fan of him. This is the biggest stage for him and I’m sure he will rise up to this.”
