LG PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK: POSH CLAIM FOURTH SUCCESSIVE VICTORY

The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Chris Hughton, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Peterborough United for their 1-4 victory against Ipswich Town on 1st February 2020.


The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,500 competitive matches in professional football.


Peterborough United Manager Darren Ferguson will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.

Peterborough United climbed into third position in the Sky Bet League One table with a fourth successive win and the first league win at Portman Road in 60 years as Darren Ferguson’s men romped to a 4-1 victory over promotion challengers Ipswich Town.
