LG PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK: PARKINSON CONTINUES PROMOTION SURGE WITH VICTORY AGAINST RIVALS FLEETWOOD

The League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Bolton Wanderers following their impressive 4-2 away victory against promotion rivals Fleetwood Town on Saturday 11th March 2017.

The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.

Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and a LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.

Two goals in each half made it an emphatic away win for Bolton Wanderers who ended Fleetwood Town’s 18-game run in clinical fashion with a 4-2 victory at Highbury Stadium.

Goals from Adam Le Fondre (2), David Wheater and Mark Beevers ensured Phil Parkinson’s men returned to winning ways and put them firmly in the mix for automatic promotion.
