LG PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK: PALACE SCORE FOUR AT THE KING POWER

The League Managers Association’s panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle and Dave Bassett, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Crystal Palace for their 1 – 4 victory over Leicester City on Saturday 23rd February.

The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 5,500 competitive matches in professional football.

Crystal Palace Manager Roy Hodgson will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.

Match Report

A remarkable second half of football saw Crystal Palace steal three points from a relentlessly offensive Leicester City side thanks to goals from Michy Batshuayi, Wilfried Zaha and Luka Milivojevic.

The Eagles were the inferior team for large swathes in the match, however their dogged defending and clinical eye for goal meant they finished the evening as victors.
