LG PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK: HOWE MAINTAINS OUTSTANDING RECORD AGAINST DEFENDING CHAMPIONS WITH VICTORY AT THE BRIDGE

The League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to AFC Bournemouth for their 3-0 away victory against defending Premier League Champions Chelsea on Wednesday 31st January 2018.

The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.

AFC Bournemouth recorded an excellent 3-0 win at the home of Premier League champions Chelsea this evening.

Second half goals from Callum Wilson, Junior Stanislas and Nathan Ake made for a memorable night at Stamford Bridge, as the Cherries remain unbeaten in the Premier League since Christmas.

The result also means that the Cherries have beaten the reigning Premier League champions in each of the club's three top flight campaigns.
