LG PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK: HARRIS’ MILLWALL DEFEATS LEEDS IN SEVEN-GOAL THRILLER

The League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to Millwall for their dramatic 4-3 victory against Leeds United on Saturday 20th January 2018.

The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.

Millwall manager Neil Harris will receive a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and an LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.

Match Report

Jed Wallace's injury-time strike handed Millwall an extraordinary 4-3 victory - their first on the road in the Sky Bet Championship in 2017/18 - over Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Aiden O'Brien and Lee Gregory put Millwall two to the good, but a double from Pierre-Michel Lasogga and a strike from Kemar Roofe swung the pendulum the way of the home side.

Tom Elliott equalised late on to seemingly secure a share of the spoils against 10-man Leeds, who had Liam Cooper sent off in the first-half, but Wallace struck in added-time to win the game.
