Steven Thompson

THOMPSON

This tough tackling midfielder played for Saltash United in the Western League, whilst in the RAF. After playing for Bristol City and Torquay he moved to Slough Town in 1986.

Steve signed for Wycombe in 1992, helping them win the Conference and FA Trophy double a year later, before playing in both divisions two and three of the Football League. Thommo made the switch to Woking in 1996, helping them lift the FA Trophy in 1997 before signing for Yeovil on 13th March 1998.

After a four year spell as Assistant Manager to David Webb, Colin Addison and Gary Johnson Steve was appointed full time manager in October after Gary Johnson left to manager Bristol City.

After over 10 years with the club, Thompson later managed Truro City and he is currently the assistant mnager of Woking.
