Hans Backe was most recently manager of Finland's national team, finishing in this role at the end of 2016. Prior to this, he managed the NY Red Bulls.
Backe has previous managerial experience in Denmark, having successful spells at Aalborg BK and FC Copenhagen winning numerous titles.
At Copenhagen, Backe earned three trophies: 2004 and 2006 Danish championships as well as the Royal League cup - an annual Scandinavian tournament.
During his time with Aalborg he won the Danish Superliga in 1999.
Backe also has Champions League experience with Panathinaikos in 2006.
He was confirmed as the new manager of Notts County on October 27, 2009.
The appointment saw Backe reunite with Notts County Director of Football Sven-Goran Eriksson after spells together at Manchester City and the Mexican national team.
Backe and Notts County parted company in December 2009.
