Coaching for Hope is a charity which uses the convening power of football to inspire, uplift and educate vulnerable young people in Africa.

Through our highly acclaimed coach education curriculum we train local coaches to use the universal love of the sport to help orphans, street kids and disabled youngsters have a chance to play, learn vital life skills and learn about the risks of HIV/AIDS and Substance Misuse.

In December 2009 David Beckham visited one of our projects in Khayelitsha township, Cape Town, South Africa.  He said “It’s amazing to visit a project like this and see the effect football has on young people.  Football has the power to change lives and the youngsters are able to learn valuable lessons through their love of the game.  I feel privileged to have met these children and despite the fact we come from different backgrounds, we share a love for the game of football”

Coaching For Hope is delighted to be working with the LMA using football as a force for good in the quest for a better life for all the world’s children
